Hello Lovelies!
How are you all holding up in lockdown? Let's look on the bright side and take up the opportunity to get up close and personal with our supplies.
There are plenty of online challenges, activities and free classes around right now.
Guess what else? Quilters Vibe is BACK and here's my video and piccies of QV for March!
Quilters Vibe is the brainchild of Sara Scraps and involves creating a paper project based on an inspiration photo of a quilt or quilt block.
This month's inspo is on the right.
I took inspiration from the colours (blues and greens mainly), square ans half square blocks (which ended up as quarter square in my case). In fact once I was finished, I realized I ended up with an Ohio Star block!
I decided to incorporate this into Shimelle's NEW class called "Start With A Sketch". This class consists of 15 sketches and three interpretations of each sketch.
Today's layout is based on interpretation 2 of sketch 1 (so 1.2)

If you're keen to get on with the video, you can view it below. Otherwise, scroll down for more pics.
And the title which is a little hard to see on the video. The camera angle wasn't set up the best. Sorry!
I always include a close up of the journaling since my writing isn't the easiest to read and impossible on video.
Stitching on QV projects isn't obligatory, bu I just love the way it looks (despite my machine misbehaving a bit). The only thing worth noting is that it makes the layout more bumpy, so a stronger adhesive than a typical tape runner is needed. Glue Dots are my personal preference.

Love, and quilty vibes!
Wow! That surely does look like a quilt in design. I love it and I can see you put lots of time and effort into it's making too.
